La Pavoni was born in Milan in 1905 from the intuition of Mr Desiderio Pavoni, who in a small workshop in Via Parini, developed a patent bought on 1st September 1902 from Mr Luigi Bezzera. This patent has been registered, at the Milan state property office since 19 Sept 1903 - number 5982 - volume 1297 private acts, creating the first espresso coffee machine for bar use named "Ideale".

Assembly is exclusively undertaken by experienced craftsmen, specialised in the production of professional espresso coffee machines and of their components: groups, boilers, taps, cappuccino makers, steel steam jets and electronic components. Each machine is tested for every function: electrical, hydraulic and electronic and is supplied with a certificate signed by the superintendent who grants the quality and the performance.
